You have wandered into the remotest parts of the internet and stumbled upon my page, which means you must be very bored. But since you are here, my name is Marc, and I am a Lutheran Christian, father, son, husband, and worker, with an even more diverse set of interests–from theology and liturgy, to literature, and culture. These things and more are the subjects of this blog, the primary goal of which is my own personal growth and learning, though perhaps along the way I may influence your tastes and interests. I much enjoy productive conversation and interaction, so I welcome your engagement, but moderation will be exercised with regard to anything inappropriate or unproductive.
And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
My posts mostly take the form of essays, or mini essays: paragraph sized descriptions of restricted topics. To aid with navigation, each post, or essay, is categorized and collected as in a commonplace book, an index for which you will find in the main menu under the heading Commonplaces, as well as in the main hamburger menu.
